I never thought I’d have a favourite light bulb but the old-style filament bulbs are very much in fashion and I personally think they are gorgeous. What’s even better is that now instead of having to decide between the stunning non-energy-efficient filament bulbs or energy-saving yet ugly LEDs, companies are now producing filament LEDs. You can only imagine my excitement when I first found these!

Please take care when wiring any lamps. It’s generally only a question of tightening up screws but if in doubt please consult a qualified electrician.

The beauty of accessories and lights is that they make great gifts. Even your most design-conscious friends and family will be blown away if you give them a hand-crafted gift rather than something shop purchased. You could also try to make something sentimental or incorporate an upcycled item with emotional relevance.
